BREAKTHROUGH PEST MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY

PHYSICAL ELIMINATION OF PESTS

US Distributor of 3D-IPNS™ Technology

HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PHYSICAL
MODE OF ACTION

3D-IPNS™ Technology is based on specifically selected silicone polymers and crosslinking agents.

When applied, 3D-IPNS™ forms a net-like polymer structure on body surfaces of pests, which tightens around them like a spider’s web, leading to death.

Creation of the structure is rapid and it is the effect of the polymer crosslinking process typical for 3D-IPNS™ Technology. The net-like structure blocks the physical life functions of the pests without interfering with their biochemical life processes. Unlike traditional plant protection products, 3D-IPNS™ Technology combats pests by employing a purely physical mechanism which is a breakthrough in pest control.

IMMEDIATE ELIMINATION EFFECT

3D-IPNS™ Technology immobilizes pests very quickly, resulting in a knockdown effect. Begins working in seconds.

WIDE RANGE OF PESTS

3D-IPNS™ Technology is a unique solution for effective control of many harmful insects and mites: aphids (including woolly aphids), spider mites, whiteflies, scale insects, psyllids, thrips, mealybugs, ants, mosquitoes.

TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION:

3D-IPNS - logo

NO RESISTANCE POTENTIAL

3D-IPNS™ Technology works as a non-specific mechanical disruptor of insects and mites. That means it is unlikely that treated pests develop resistance to the Technology. This is a significant advantage over conventional pesticides. 3D-IPNS™ may be used many times within growing season with no concern about decrease in the efficacy.

Thanks to these properties, 3D-IPNS™ Technology is successfully used in anti-resistance strategies and for controlling of the pests which have developed resistance to chemical insecticides/acaricides.

NO PESTICIDE RESIDUES

3D-IPNS™ Technology makes it possible to eliminate pest without any toxic ingredients. Thanks to this, there is no risk of contamination of the treated crops with active substances. This allows to use the technology even shortly before harvest.

3D-IPNS™ Technology is used successfully in modern strategies of plant protection against pests, in particular where the minimalization of the chemical pesticide use is sought.

3D-IPNS™ product is the sure choice for enhanced consumer and environmental safety.

The quality and safety of the 3D-IPNS™ product is proved by the fact that the individual components have been:

  • extensively tested by independent and recognized laboratories;
  • approved for use as inert ingredients in agricultural products applied to growing crops;
  • exempted from requirements of U.S. Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) and therefore may be applied to crops at any time up to and including the day of harvest (zero-day PHI).

Moreover:

  • Polymers included in the product meet the requirements set out in the Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council. This includes the constituent monomers and other reactants subject to REACH registration;
  • The lead component/ingredient of the 3D-IPNS™ product is approved for use in U.S. organic agriculture.

HIGH EFFECTIVENESS CONFIRMED BY STUDIES AND PRACTICE

Practice and the research carried out by recognized scientific institutions (e.g. KAC Agricultural Research Inc. – USA, Government Office, Department of Agriculture and the Environment – Hungary, Research Institute of Horticulture – Poland) confirm the very high efficacy of the product based on 3D-IPNS™ Technology. The noted reduction in the pest population usually reaches 85% – 95%. This action is comparable or even better than the performance of traditional chemical plant protection products.

Effect of 3D-IPNS™ based product on larch woolly aphid (Adelges laricis) abundance [pcs/10 larch shoots]:

Wooly Aphid on larch (2014)

Trial location: Research Institute of Horticulture, Poland, 2014

Number of treatments: 1

Conclusions: Tested 3D-IPNS™ based product showed excellent efficacy (av. 97.6%) in controlling the larch woolly aphid.

Effect of 3D-IPNS™ based product on two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) abundance [pcs/1 strawberry leaf]:

Spider mite on strawberry (2013)

Trial location: Research Institute of Horticulture, Poland, 2013

Number of treatments: 1

Conclusions: Tested 3D-IPNS™ based product showed excellent efficacy in controlling the spider mites on strawberry. The efficacy of the product was similar to the standard used.

Effect of 3D-IPNS™ based product on european brown scale (Parthenolecanium corni) larvae abundance [pcs/1 blueberry leaf]:

Scale larvae on blueberry (2019)

Trial location: Research Institute of Horticulture, Poland, 2019

Number of treatments: 2 (7 days interval)

Conclusions: Tested 3D-IPNS™ based product applied twice has high [~90.7%] efficacy against larvae of European brown scale on blueberry

Effect of the 3D-IPNS™ based product on pear psylla (Cacopsylla pyri) larvae abundance [pcs/shoot]:

Pear psylla on pear (2014)

Trial location: Research Institute of Horticulture, Poland, 2014

Number of treatments: 2 (7 days interval)

Conclusions: The study proved that 3D-IPNS™ based product has high efficacy against pear psylla larvae, similar to standard used, especially after second treatment [~81,2%]. Moreover, it has been shown that tested product used in a tank-mix together with the abamectin 018 EC shows faster and in places more effective action than the standard alone.

LOW IMPACT ON CROP POLLINATORS AND BENEFICIAL ENTOMOFAUNA

Honey bee

The performed honey bee toxicity tests and risk assessment have shown that the use of 3D-IPNS™ Technology does not pose an unacceptable risk to the pollinators. Nevertheless, to ensure the full safety of these insects, 3D-IPNS™ Technology should not be used during honey bee foraging.

Beneficial entomofauna

The tests conducted in the fruit tree orchards have shown that 3D-IPNS™ may cause only slight and not permanent negative effects in the population of beneficial entomofauna in the field. The observations and the studies were related to the beneficial mites of the Phytoseiidae family, Anthocoris spp., Orius spp., beneficial Hymenoptera and ladybugs. 3D-IPNS™ Technology can be considered partially selective for the above mentioned species.

APPLICATION INFORMATIONS

3D-IPNS™ Technology is characterized by a typical contact action. The spray solution must reach the body of the pest directly to combat it. Therefore, the guarantee of good efficacy is a proper spraying technique, which ensures that the liquid reaches all places where the pest feeds. The Technology should not be used as a preventive measure, i.e. before the pests appear on plants.

3D-IPNS™ products are manufactured in the form of emulsifiable concentrates. The diluted products are applied by spraying with traditional techniques – using common sprayers.
